How to get video off my HV40?I have a new HV40 that I am very happy with. I have no problem getting video off my camcorder and into PE 7. But, I was wondering, is there good free software that I can use to get the footage onto my computer without using PE7? Thanks.

Re: How to get video off my HV40?HDVSplit is one program I would not want to be without
It makes capture from the HV cameras very easy and you get a nice preview (you can select from 3 or 4 window sizes) and it splits by timecode. An excellent, free, piece of software 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Re: How to get video off my HV40?If you have any questions or problems let us know Flair. There are many folks here that use HDVSplit and really like it. I haven't seen any real problems, it is very basic and easy to use. I've never had any serious problems with it that restarting the program didn't fix.
