Quicktime alternative can't play mov filesSince I needed to convert a couple vob files, I installed the Quicktime Alternative version 1.81 and MpegStreamClip on my desktop running XP Pro. I can convert the vob files just fine now, but any time I try to view an .mov file, I get an error and a player shut down, with file both embedded in web pages and simply played from the folder on my hard drive.

Re: Quicktime alternative can't play mov filesOk, after some more browsing, I found out that this is happening to quite a few people. I am ready to bag QTA and get QT Pro.
![]() That will convert my vob files successfully to dv-avi, right? Do people have issues with uninstalling QTA? From what I am reading, some do, and that makes me uncomfortable... Jennifer
