Keyframing Sound Effects

Postby Thomas » Sun Sep 02, 2007 2:55 am

Hi,
I have a sound file which I want to transform the pitch over time.
I set the pitch level to 0 at the beginning and at the end I set the pitch to +5. Consequently I have 2 keyframes, one at the start and one at the end. I want that the sound gradually go from 0 to +5, but I get +5 even from start.
Have anyone any suggestion what´s wrong ?

Regards
Thomas

Looks like all you can keyframe is the Bypass... not the pitch.

Paul and Thomas,

Here is something very interesting, and how you keyframe the pitch.

To make the first keyframe, you have to put the first keyframe on the audio track, you know, the yellow horizontal line that goes through each track on the timeline. But first you have to change what the yellow line represents. The clip on the track has a little down arrow that you click, then select which effect and then which property. You will have to be zoomed in the right amount to see the little down arrow. Initially the label is "Volume: Clip Volume" and the little arrow is to the right of that. After doing that you can press the CTRL key and click the yellow line to place a keyframe, or you can click the keyframe diamond icon that is under the track name. After getting the first keyframe placed, you can then use the properties panel to place additional keyframes and change the pitch. You can also use the yellow line to change the pitch by dragging the keyframes on the yellow line up and down.

How's that?
