Muvipix Music

Postby dalelpaq » Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:55 am

I bet I can guess the answer to this question...No. But, I'll try anyway. Perhaps there is someone beyond Muvipix itself that can say yes! I am crafting an opening sequence to a movie and want to include a video logo analogous to the famous MGM Lion roar or the Columbia Pictures Columbia statue. I have basically finished the video part of the logo and am looking for suitable music. I have reviewed all of the Muvipix music and found one that is just about perfect except for a drum roll towards the end of the first 20 seconds. Is there any way to get a "custom" rendition without the drums? If anyone says yes, I'll submit the specific details. Thanks. Dale

Ron, sorry I didn't get right back - this is kind of a part time job! Anyway - I have been editing the video and now think that I can't shorten it enough to fit the piece I was referring too (it's Epic long which opens with four shorts before going into the main composition. I would have cut these and worked with just the main composition. But, the drums I would like removed will still leave too little time to fit the video before the composition gets back into a "beat" mode. I do truly appreciate the offer but would like to take a rain check if that's OK. Thanks again, Dale

Can I use the Muvipix music dowloads in my youtube videos and still monetize the video or do I need permission from Muvipix?

Also, is there any music a person can use, other than my humming ;) , on youtube and still be eligible for monetizaiton of their videos?

Thank you for your help,
Angela

Our music, like all of our products, is royalty free, Angela. That means that you can use it virtually unconditionally, even in a for-profit project. (As long as you don't resell it or claim to have created it yourself.)

So have fun with it!

That is great news as I sorely need some background music on some of my hiking videos when I have to turn the volume down due to wind noise. We'll see what youtube says as I challenged them. And while I understand their need to protect copyright, I think they are getting over zealous sometimes.

Now if I can get Mercalli to be as cooperative with helping make their product work with stabilizing my hiking videos.

Thanks for your help,
Angela
