Windows Media Player missing CodeC

Postby irispix » Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:58 pm

I had to have my pc reprogrammed and all programs were unistalled and reinstalled.
Now I find that my videos have no sound and Windows Media Player says that there is a missing codec. I have no clue what that is and where to find one.

Can you help me?

I use windows xp.

That's my dog, Kleio, a Siberian Husky. Ideal dog for a Mediterranean climate! :???:

Difficult to say what might have happened to the original codecs but the KLite pack should fix things.

When you go to those free codec sites be sure you are clicking on the correct link to download the codec pack and not something else ;)

As John says, the Klite Codec Pack will most likely solve your problem for free.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Glad you got it working :)

I always install that codec pack, the KLite Mega Codec Pack, on every machine.

And just by saying that your problem is fixed is all you need to do, problem solved and case closed :TU:
