Is it possible to create a scene selection menu from a playlist? I have tried right clicking on the button that links to the playlist, but 'the insert scene selection menu' isn't a viable option. If it is possible to do, how can it be done.
Thanks, Katelyn

Well, by nature of being a playlist, it may not be possible.
Are you talking about making the individual video clips in your playlist available? They're already available as individual clips, right? So you can add them as buttons on a menu page.
Or are you talking about breaking the individual clips into scenes? That may be a bit more challenging. It's much easier to do it with each individual clip than it is with a whole playlist.

I have two video segments, a Wednesday night segment and a Saturday night segment. On the main menu, I have a 'Play Wednesday Night' button which plays the Wed night segment, a 'Play Saturday Night' button which plays the Sat night segment and a 'Play All' button which is a playlist that plays Wed night followed by Sat night. Then, I would like to have a scene selection menu that includes scenes from both the Wednesday night segment and the Saturday night segment and, when a scene is selected, that scene will play followed by the rest of the footage to the end of the Saturday night segment.

I believe you can do what you want, but you will need to create two more playlists, one list containing just WED, and another list containing just SAT. Instead of a playlist and two movies on the main menu, you will have three playlists on the main menu. The end action for each playlist would be to return to the main menu.
This frees up the end action for the WED movie segment, which was to link to the start of the main menu. Now change the end action for WED to link to the start of SAT.
Define the chapters for the WED segment and the SAT segment.
On the Chapter menu you place a button for each chapter. Then link the buttons to a movie scene/chapter. Whatever you select will play through to the end of SAT.
I don't have time right now to see this all the way through, hopefully it will work.
EDIT: It does work.

Exactly right, Robert!
You can't create a scene menu for a playlist -- but you can create scene menus for the individual clips in a playlist.

That was a great explanation, RJ! I'm also just learning DVD architect and am very interested in all the details.
