To Burn or not to Burn that is the question....

Postby sidd finch » Tue Jan 05, 2010 3:09 pm

I have a Christmas project that requires me to burn approx 50 DVD’s. Since this is a laborious task and takes a few sittings to get completed, I was wondering what might be more efficient. To burn to folder then make my copies from that or to output from Ulead Moviemaker as a project?

I would recommend outputting as an iso image and burn them with ImgBurn. I believe you can set the copies, but you'd still have to be there to swap out the disks 8-[

I second Ron's suggestion.

When I create my annual Grisetti video, that's exactly what I do. I make one VIDEO_TS file set on my hard drive and then, over the course of the next few days, I continually burn off copies while I'm working on other things.

If you have more than one burner, you can even start ImgBurn more than once to burn to both burners simultaneously.

I did the same with a half dozen copies of a DVD I had to make for some family members over the holidays. I've tried burning multiple DVD copies of a PE7 project using the Share option - sometimes it works and sometimes it has problems. With ImgBurn, it works everytime. And you get some groovy music at the end when the burn is finished!

Bob that is a great idea. It will save me a whole lot of time. Will you be donating your brain to the Muvipix Museum?
