Roxio Creator 7

Postby ksnielsen » Thu Jan 03, 2008 2:25 pm

Hi-

I am using PE4. Normally I save my DVD to a folder and then use Creator 7 to burn the folder to the DVD. When I quit creator, it never really quits so my machine won't shut down without forcing creator to quit.

Do other experience this with their DVD authoring software or is it unique to creator?

What other products do you recommend?

I don't have that problem with Premiere Elements authoring DVDs or with Encore DVD.
You might want to look into Sony DVD Architect, I have heard lots of good things about it.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Karen,
If you are looking for a burn tool it is hard to beat Nero. A great piece of burning software that supports most hardware. They are loading it up with bloat-ware (dvd viewers, back up utils, etc.) but I use it as a primary burn tool. Others use Imgburn. It is free and also has a good reputation for burning.

I used to use Creator exclusively until I found Nero. I haven't used Creator since version 5.

Regards,

Something new with Nero 8 is you can create submenus. Before you were limited to just a main menu and a scene menu.

In order to use ImgBurn, you need Nero Lite, at least.

I highly recommend Nero, especially for it's Nero Burning ROM application.
