Writing on a DVD

Postby Johnny » Sun Oct 02, 2011 11:05 pm

I've heard different things about whether it's safe to use something like a Sharpie permanent marking pen to write on the top of a DVD. Does anyone know if there's a real difference between a pen like that and something like a solvent-free marking pen?
Thanks!

I thought that Sharpies were the recommended pen to use because they are solvent free. I have always used a Sharpie.

I agree with Robert. I've never had a problem with a disc I've written on with a Sharpie.

Thanks for your replies. Have you had the Sharpie-marked discs for a long time?
