Jump to Markers?

Postby momoffduty » Tue Aug 24, 2010 4:45 pm

I am a heavy user of markers in the PrPro Timeline & AE layers. Is there any way to jump to these markers? I've searched the help and didn't see anything. What I have been doing is to move the CTI to the marker & zoom in to move to the exact frame. Sure would save time if you could jump to the marker.

Any way to do this? Keyboard shortcuts?

Try this

ctrl + shift + RIGHT/LEFT arrow keys.

If the solution works then it is mine, if not I found it at Wrigley Video :)

Are those Composition Markers or some other kind of Marker?
I can't get to the program right now to check for myself.
Glad we have accomplished something though :)

Yes, Comp markers. I could use markers on the first layer instead of Comp markers, but it would be nice to know about Comp markers.

2 out of 3 is great!

If the markers are numbered you can use the number keys on the main keyboard (not the numeric keypad) to go to that numbered marker, press 1 for marker 1, 9 for marker 9, ...

Had a chance to try out the tips. Seems that the Comp markers need to be numbered in AE to jump. Will have to number my Comp markers from now on. Printed out a cheat sheet to have handy until I have the shortcuts memorized. What a time saver!! I should have asked this a year ago. ](*,)
