There's an option named "Mozilla plug-in" during the installation of VLC.

Thanks .. will keep that in mind if this problem persists.

Thanks for this Cheryl - nice simulation of the kind of things you have done with AE. Not as fancy, but fancy enough for me to try with my next project, and I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise! =D>

Russ, the real plus is no keyframing. But, I do think this has potential to display photos & video in a project. Hope you share what you come up with. :)

You've got that right Cheryl...after my daughter's grad video that included, in addition to numerous video clips, 200 + photos, all painstakingly (though lovingly) individually keyframed, this sounds very attractive! :-D

Hmm...I don't have VLC media player on my puter. Must be something else causing it to not display for me. Doesn't display in Chrome either.

Treetops, does it play for you in the Gallery? Not sure if that would make a difference.

FWIW - I got the AV file in Google Chrome, but do have VLC and several other players on the laptop.

MomOffDuty - It doesn't play in Gallery either with Firefox. Asking to load a plugin. I just hate to load another plugin.

Cheryl...i've been meaning to ask you about this...when you use the "push" transition, how do you get it to move the image up or down? all i see for options on that transition is to reverse it (right to left as opposed to left to right).

i thought maybe i had a version that was too old (v4) so i bought v9 and still only see reverse as the option for this transition. am i missing something in your directions?

love this, by the way.

In the transition property panel at the top there should be a small box with a tiny triangle on one side. By clicking on the bottom of that box the triangle should move to the bottom, South. The same should be for North, East, & West directions of the push.

thank you!! my old eyes just can't always pick up on those small things. i will definitely use this. i did a transition in a project last month that reminds me of this one...a wedding slideshow that had a photo of the groom as a boy behind the controls of a small airplane, followed by the bride as a child behind the wheel of a boat. i moved the boy photo to the right as her photo came in from the left but then paused his while hers "backed up" and then moved right again, collided with his, scooting it off the screen. i did it all with keyframing but your example shows me how part of it might have been done easier.

thanks for the example and the great instructions!!
