I am working on a project that has lots of text. Similar to my book trailer, but lots more font per section. There will be 12 sections. The odd number sections will be words describing the event and the even number sections will be scripture.
Should I use 2 fonts...one for the words and another for the scripture? Or use the same font?
Any font suggestions? Needs to be easy to read on a screen.
Reveal by word or by line?

I like the two font idea Cheryl but would probably give it a shot both ways just to see. I like the Bookman Old Style font for scripture myself. Easy to read and still with a Old English kind of touch.
I like to see each line revealed, word by work is annoying in my opinion. Word by word is always either too fast or too slow, never seems to be at a good speed for everyone.
Still, that would depend on the project and if a word by word reveal would enhance the video. If the line is short I would say word by word could be effective in some situations.

I agree with Chuck. Unless it's just a couple words .. or a couple words for emphasis, I find word-by-word r-e-a-l-l-y annoying.

Ditto!
Word by word is worse than annoying, it's distracting. For me, word by word gives my mind more time to wander and I pay less attention. Word by word also tends to focus the mind on the individual words rather than the content of the line or text. That means less retention and comprehension. Go with line by line, your audience will appreciate it and you'll make a bigger impact with your message.

Thanks for the feedback. Going with Chaucer faux bold for all text. And.......the reveal.....I changed it from line reveal to word. Personally I like the word better than the line. Think I'll let my pastor decide.

Overthinking again. I will make a copies of the projects and change the reveal back to line. After rendering out a preview from AE, I forgot to change one of the reveals. Seeing it side by side changes my mind. And I think that you all are correct on the line by line.

Cheryl, the word by word reveal makes my head spin The line by line is much smoother, like that a lot. Overall very nice looking by the way

The word by word feel jerky. As Chuck said, the other feels smooth .. and flows well. But really helpful laying them side-by-side so you can get a feel for both.
