Changing the Anchor Point

Postby Chuck Engels » Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:06 pm

This is a question that may become a tip or trick depending on the answer :)

Does anyone know if there is any way to change the position of the anchor point on a clip?
In After Effects there is the Pan Behind Tool that can be used to actually move the anchor point.
Is there any way to accomplish the same thing in Premiere Elements? Or is that what the Basic 3D is for? Basic 3D isn't quite the same as moving the anchor point but it works pretty well.

It would sure make the page turn a whole lot easier

You can change the anchor point for position, scaling and rotation in the Motion properties on the Properties panel.

Or is there something else you're looking for?

Yes I know about that, but this is much more. Changing the anchor points position on the clip completely.
Leaving the clip in the position it is in but moving just the anchor point, hope that explains it better.
