Press ctrl+enter when you want to have a scene marker with more than one line of text.

I didn't know that, Chuck!

And, to think, I've been using a workaround all this time...

Good spot!

Hi,
I always find it funny how one persons "great tip" is anothers "oh, I do it like this all the time". In Microsoft Word and Excel, ctl+enter is the common way to put in a line break without creating a new paragraph. As I use both those product extensively, when it came to PE, I just assumed it worked the same, which it did. It never occured to me that others might not know that
Regards,
Norm

PS. My pen and laser pointer arrived yesterday (all the wat in the cold North. Thanks.

I've always used Shift+Enter (rather than Ctrl+Enter) to force a line break in Word without creating a new paragraph, Norm. And that key combination won't work with Scene Marker names.

So I was glad to see Chuck's tip!

Sometimes you just don't know what might help someone, that's why it is a good idea to post things that help you, like Ctrl+Enter to start a new line. You never know what someone else doesn't know

Steve,
You're right of course. In Word it turns ino a page break. Excel it's alt+Enter to form a new line. I just get in the habit of trying them all and usually one of them works.

I agree that we should put forward these tips as they can be huge time savers (and frustartion savers).
