It reminded me of Lord of the Rings... Very nice job!

They probably used After Effects or a similar package to achieve the effect in the movie. With the track motion and 3D animation you can get it to track the movement and apply a 3D image to a moving face. I just used it in 2d as the face was towards the camera and then I tracked the face movement to "marry" the effect to the face.

Really cool, Paul. I think we all have "angels" like that. Can't wait to get my hands on After Effects.

Paul - did you download the snowglobe for PSE or PS? I downloaded the files for PSE 4 and got nowhere cause the effects would not open. They're in the correct folder. I'm just wondering if that zip file download is bad.

Doreen, the snowglobe effect is from the panos site under clubroom. http://www.panosfx.com/ I think it was Donna that that turned me on to that site! There is so many cool things to get there and I can not believe so many are free!!!!

I want After Effects too! I am trying to convince my Little brother to buy it for me for Christmas?! I really am a nice big sister?! :---) most of the time....

Thanks Kerrie. I should have been a little more clear. On the panos site, there's two ways to do the snowglobe effect. One was in the Club Room and one was in the Photoshop elements forum. I tried the one in the PSE forum cause it just looked easier to do but couldn't get it to work.

I can't wait to get my hands on After Effects. Flash CS3 hasn't been too difficult so far. It really helps having had experience with PE, layers and keyframing. Dreamweaver is a whole other thing. Adobe writes the worst help files in the world IMO. They assume you know more than you do. Even their video tutorials skip steps one, two and three and start at step four. Drives me nuts. ](*,)

Thanks. I'll have to go back and try that one. I did download that picture to exe program but I got confused when she said to run the folder in Photoshop. I didn't understand what I was supposed to do. It's six days until Christmas and my mind is on overload.

You just open Photoshop and run the Action. It will ask you for the photo you want to use. When finished running the Action it produces the "un-animated" snowglobe picture.
For the animated version you remove the snow layers and save as the picture as "panostest.jpg". You then run the animation PicturetoExe program and open the panostest.pte (the .pte program in the same folder with the panostest.jpg). You can then press preview to preview the snow falling in the globe. Then in File you can export as an AVI. NOTE it is a temporary AVI that will be deleted when you close the program. So you must open up Premiere Elements with the program still open, and import the AVI and then export it. You can then save this version.
