Tripod trick = quarter

Postby Ron Hunter » Mon Jul 27, 2015 7:03 pm

There have been many times when I needed to install or remove the tripod mounting plate from my DSLR but I didn't have a screwdriver handy. Everyone knows you can use a quarter for that task but sometimes I don't have change with me either.

My son had a great idea; place a quarter underneath the tripod mounting plate. It will go wherever your tripod goes and it won't fall out. Then, when you remove the plate from the tripod, the quarter will be there in case you need to remove the plate for some reason.

Works for me!

They still exist at the airport, but I don't think they take coins anymore just credit cards and are very expensive to use :)
