This is fascinating, Cheryl! Thanks for sharing it.

It is funny, isn't it? How we become used to a standard until the next generation of technology comes along. Hard to believe we once watched 720x480 TV at 30 interlaced frames or that we once were thrilled to shoot home video at 352x480 or to stare at a 640x480 video screen. Now we're already looking at 4k and even 8k television and CRTs just seem so low tech.

Things have come a long way from the old VHS or VHS-C cameras. Cell phones now have better quality.

Sallie Gardner at a Gallop is the famous horse from the photography experiment. The Stanford Red Barn is still standing on what is now Stanford University.

Good video. I like that guy. He has another video that talks about aspect ratios.

I am fascinated by editing with simple equipments.

I have started following one of my (nowadays) filmmakers because he used to shoot with a handycam and achieve great results.

I am an admirer of Sergej Eisenstein for the same reason: of course he used to film with old equipments.
