Text on Photoshop Picture

Postby slushparlor1 » Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:06 pm

Hi:
O.k. this is embarrassing. All I'm trying to do is put text on a Photoshop picture. I think a setting might be wrong because it's not working. I opened the photo, added a layer, used the text button and when I go to save the photo the words appear wavy and don't show up. I'm working on titles for my video work and I'm not great with Photoshop. Any help is greatly appreciated. ;)

Hey Slush,

I use PSE 5. I click on the photo I want the text to appear on, go to full edit, click on text. It automatically creates a background layer for the photo and a new layer for the text. When I get the text like I want it, I do a save as and it is done.. I don't know if this helps as I am not good with PSE either. I am sure one of the experts will be along soon..

Donna:
I appreciate your help. I have PE6 and I tried what you said. I can see the text when I type it but the moment I go out of the text box the text becomes wavy and you can't see it :(. I'll keep looking. Thanks again!!!

I figured it out - I had the wrong text button pressed ](*,) . It must have been a LONG week. Thanks again for your help!
