Slideshows Blank

Postby bgsnmky » Thu Dec 20, 2007 11:16 pm

Two Slideshows I created yesterday now are blank.

I went into edit the slideshow (which they were in the organizer with a picture showing) and when I opened them in slideshow, all the pictures were black and when I played it they were black.

:?:

Help.

I am starting them over, but would like to know what happened.

If this was in Premiere Elements I would say your photos are too large resolution, common with over large photos. Remember they dont need to be much bigger then 1000x750.

THis was in Photoshop Elements 5.0. I did reduce them to 1000 and saved in PSD.

I did redo it tonight..but I would hate for them to be gone again tomorrow!

Do the slidesshows actually save the pictures or are they just pointers like in Premier elements.

Slide shows in Photoshop Elements are also pointers.
So you can't move (or delete) the photo files used in the slide show - you said you currently had PSD files with 1000 width dimension in the slide show.
.
In fact since Premiere Elements will point back to those same photo files, you can't delete them until you are finished with your project and have burned the DVD.

I was thinking the same thing as Barb, are the photos on an external drive that isn't connected or did you move them somewhere?

The pictures are not on an external drive..and i don't think I moved them as I learned not to with the Prel3. But I could have I guess.

Hasn't happened again so far.
