Having opened PSP files, using GIMP, they are exported as .xcf files. How do you save, or export, in GIMP, files to with extensions that can be used in Photoshop Elements?

Re: using GIMP .xcf files in Photoshop Elements? In Gimp, you can export to Photoshop format easily. Open your XCF file in GIMP and click File > Export. Choose "Photoshop Image" (PSD) as the file format, and hit Export. This will keep the appropriate layers intact.

Re: using GIMP .xcf files in Photoshop Elements? Thanks, will try that as I could not see a drop down box where you could click expert extension you want. Can you batch files for opening, yes, they are PSP's, and converting a batch of photos to PSD?
