Beautiful work, Rudy! It couldn't be more full of action if it were live video!

I don't get any video Rudy, using Firefox 3.5.2
I get a popup http://www.websbyu.com/hockey/popup.html
and it says I need to install Flash Player, but I already have Flash Player installed.
I don't have this problem with other Flash Video. Not sure what the problem is.

Hi Steve and Chuck:

Thanks for the feedback.

Chuck, thanks particularly for your bug report. You are now the second person who I know that this has happened to. I was at a relative's house a couple of weeks ago and we had the same problem using Firefox, it said to download the Flash player, which the computer already had on it.

I think there is a problem with my code for JW Player (no browser sniffer). I thought it might have just been a fluke, but now that you have reported the same issue I'll be going to the JW Player forum and tracking down the solution.

Thanks again,
Rudy

I tried opening the link in IE also and on my home computer too, it won't show the video on anything I've tried so far.

I get the 'You need to install Flash' message. I am going to do the install, maybe I'm behind a version or two.

FWIW, works for me with both Internet Explorer and FireFox. But I do use Secura SPI to ensure all of my support software is up to date.

That actually fixed the problem Rudy, must have been a version behind. I usually get the 'There is a new version of Flash' popups that tell me to install the latest, oh well.

Great pace and nice effects, was that all done with Premiere Elements?

Hi Chuck:

Thanks for the enourging words. Yes, it was all done in PE7. I really loved the design work the Animoto guys do on their site with similar slideshows/videos. The problem is their B2B cost is so high that it will be prohibitive for me and my fairly small clients to use it ( Ihave to pay $250 a year and so does each of my clients). So I set myself the task of trying to learn to design up to their level of excellence and make my own. I'm still far from their level but I'm getting the basics.

Chuck I was also going to ask you to try viewing it again in FireFox as I have just received and downloaded a brand new release version of JW Player. But I see you resolved it.

Just so that I'm clear, what exactly was the issue with your system? Did you have an older version of the Flash player - what that the problem? Does that mean my code was OK?

Thanks,
Rudy

I think everything you did was ok Rudy. I downloaded the newest version of Flash Player and everything worked after that.

Rudy,
Welcome on board. I have used Animoto for several projects in the last year. It is a great site. I wish you could exert more control, but it does an awesome job. Your technique is a very good approximation of what they do. I find that I have to use Animoto in moderation. Otherwise, it takes the attention away from the images and people focus more on the transitions. YMMV. Great work though. Keep it up. How long did it take you to do the one segment?

You did a great job on the pacing, and the effects went well with the music choice. Well done ::CLAP:
