Hello All,

I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say Hi. I found this site while trying to resolve a problem on the Adobe forums and it looks like a really good place for a lot of resources. I'm a retired IT guy who loves photography and I'm just getting into video editing so I'll probably need a lot of help getting started.

Thanks for posting an introduction, I wish more people would.
It was kind of a tradition at the Adobe forum to post a 'Who Are You' topic a couple times a year, that was always fun.

You won't find a nicer, more knowledgeable group anywhere on the internet. Someone is always around and that means you can usually get an answer pretty quick.
I'm not retired but an active IT guy just wanting to retire so I can do video full time
You can learn as much or as little as you want here, lots of experience to draw from and everything from creating simple slide shows to doing professional wedding videos and cable tv shows.

But, meantime, check your firewall settings. One person did discover that his firewall was blocking Adobe updates and, when he allowed them, Bridge updated and started working again.

Hi Greg! You have found the best website there is! I am a mom who just likes to make fun slide shows with a few video clips thrown in! Nothing fancy, just fun stuff. I start my mornings with a cup of coffee and Muvipix! I have learned so much from this website and there is still so much to learn.......I found this site at the Adobe website and since I have been here, I don't think I have had to check elsewhere to find out how to do things with Premiere Elements! Thanks for the welcome, I like to do to slide shows of photos also and I hope to start creating DVD's of the shows as soon as I figure out all the little tricks. By the way my avatir is a picture of my dog Bear (all 130 pounds of him) not me needing a shave.

Hi Gregg, and welcome. I'm retired bookkeeper and administrative assistant and have way too much time on my hands. I saw my first memorial video at a funeral in Dec 06, and less than 5 months later had successfully completed my fist attempt at producing a memorial video from still pix.

I have learned so much on this forum that I am now producing reunion and wedding videos as well. It would have never been possible without the help of this great group!!

It seems that a lot of IT people are making the transition to video'ing. Glad to have you with us.

I don't know if I can say anymore than what's already been said. This is the best and most knowledgeable group of people you will ever meet. I have been hanging out here since Feb. and I have never been disappointed in the decision to join. I have asked way more than my fair share of questions and someone always answers. Welcome Gregg! Muvipix is a one stop resource center. From how to's, tutorials, motion backgrounds, music suggestions, recipes from Steve & Ed , etc. Too many things to mention! I have received a lot of help here.
