Re: Congratulations Spring 2009 Contest Winners!Am dying to get into AE but will have to step it up next time... I will take adobe audition please! I will have fun designing some sounds I have been dabbling a bit with audacity.
Thanks all! And great job Everyone! _| /-\ /\/\ /-\ |_
Re: Congratulations Spring 2009 Contest Winners!
oh just noticed the prize values. Abode Audition is higher value is there something we can work out to give tiny full value for finishing third? I'm ok with whatever. _| /-\ /\/\ /-\ |_
Re: Congratulations Spring 2009 Contest Winners!Well if that were the case, AE really has the highest retail 'value', but between the market, supply, demand, and all that fun stuff, you would be lucky to sell a new version of AE for more than the HV30. Thusly, the HV30 is probably worth the most, if you were going to break everything down to what it would (actually) sell for. Why is this, when AE sells for more? Because businesses will purchase directly through Adobe, or some other outlet charging full retail price. They don't bother with Ebay. Therefore the sellers on Ebay have to sell to people who are looking to find a deal. If we look on Ebay, we can probably find a steal of a deal on that same software. The camcorder price doesn't vary as much (well right now it is, but hence the $600 cash).
So in the case of the Adobe Audio software, that specific piece of software, while it retails for much more, you can find it for a little over $100 via Ebay (new). So then it comes down to the value of the user. So while the gift card was not 3rd on 'the' list, it was third on my 'list'. So I'm an extremely happy camper. :D Did that make any sense? I'm not sure that made much sense. It made sense in my mind, but right now I'm just one happy guy. I wish I were creative enough to write something witty here.
Re: Congratulations Spring 2009 Contest Winners!I think it's now my turn. But first a question. When Chuck first posted the prize list (as shown below), I noticed that it included the choice of the Wacom Tablet or the $100 amazon card, followed by the other two amazon cards. But I noticed that choice was no longer listed as part of this thread. If it is available, I'll take that gift card. If not, then I'll go with the $50 gift card (always something good to get at Amazon!).
And congratulations to the other winners. Great work all around! And thanks for such a great forum. cheers, steve The prize pool is as follows Canon HV30, similar HDV camcorder, or a cash prize of $600 After Effects CS4 - Full Version (Windows) Adobe Audition 3 - Full Version (Windows) Wacom Bamboo Tablet or $100 Amazon Gift Card Amazon Gift Card: $100 USD Amazon Gift Card: $50 USD Mini Mouse with retractible USB cable similar to this one Photoshop Toolbox Software Bluetooth Adapter Steve's Muvipix Guide to DVD Architect Book Steve's Muvipix Guide to Premiere Elements 7 Book

Re: Congratulations Spring 2009 Contest Winners!Congratulations to all the winners. Thanks to the Muvipix crew for allowing us to participate. A big thanks to Adobe for their prize contributions. And a special thanks to all who voted, not just for my videos but for taking the time to view and vote for each and every video. I think all the videos submitted were winners!
I’ll take the $50 Amazon Gift Card. Chuck is this the correct link to the Muvipix Amazon Store? http://astore.amazon.com/chuckengelsco- ... TF8&node=0 I browsed the featured items page… I already have PRE 7 and PSE 7, All in One, Snap, and Guide to APE 7. I didn’t see anything else in my price range that I want at this time, but I’ll continue looking in the Browse by Category sections. Some time ago I did a search from the Amazon home page and found some CDs by Jerome Olds and a Mini Mouse with retractable USB cable. If I do the same search and place an order from within the Muvipix Amazon Store will the Muvipix store get credit? I don’t understand how the stores work apart from ordering from the Amazon home page searches.
