I'm especially proud of this month's offerings. Every one is a gem!

I think we're finally getting the hang of this... :)

Thanks for the new stuff! Just downloaded a few items. Love the colored orbs and movie reel template. Of course the other templates are very good too, just don't need them now. Glad to know that you will keep things available for future downloads. Liked the music too.

I would really like to use the filmstrip graphic on its own. What is the easiest way to do this in Photoshop, assuming I can access the template from photoshop?

Thanks again for the new stuff!

The DVD templates are just PSD (Photoshop) files. You should be able to open it with Photoshop Elements. Just throw away what you don't want. (The scene markers and text are all in layer set folders.)

You guys never cease to amaze me. My muvipix download file is growing by leaps and bounds.

Something for immediate use... My grandson was a groomsman in a wedding last weekend. The photographer gave the bride a discount since he is only supplying a disc with photos. My gift to them is twofold, a video from their photos and a chance to build my portfolio. Yeaaaa

Something for future use... working with video in addition to stills.

Thanks !!!!

I downloaded the movie reel DVD template and opens up in Photoshop with all of the layers, but does not show up in PE3 DVD listings.

I watched the tutorial again to double check the process. The two psd files are listed on c drive under the DVD templates in the new folder I created. And did not change the file name.

In PE3 opened and reopened the project. In the DVD work space, my folder is listed but does not have the 2 templates.

The only thing different about the process is: there is no en-US folder in the DVD templates. There are folders listed with the dvd categories and my new folder. Did a search and there are 4 en_US folders listed in other PE3 folders. Not sure if this makes a difference.

What did I do wrong? Thanks, need help.

In version 3, just put the folder that contains the two PSD files in your Custom folder in the DVD templates folder set.

But do make sure you've downloaded and extracted the version 3 template! The version 2 templates are very different.

Sometimes you have to "clear" version 3's template list when you drop in a new template. Apply a different template to your project and close the program. Re-open the program, open your DVD workspace and browse. You should see the new templates in the category (Custom, for instance) where you placed them.

Thanks Steve for the quick response. How did you know I downloaded the wrong version? Must be hacked into my computer! I guess in my zest to follow the tutorial step by step I overlooked a small detail on the version. No matter how easy you all make it here with the instructions, there will always be user error...at least in my case.

Thanks again! And the flim strip graphic looks great.

Steve

Just a quick question. With the "Volleyball transitition", is this a transitition that you use between clips or is it a background and if it is a transitition how do I use it? I have not yet downloaded it to have a proper look.

Love the new wedding template. I am just in the process of making a wedding dvd for my sister-in-law and this will come in very handy. Also I will be using the new movie reel a little later in the year for a project for my daughter's school.

A very big thank you for this month.

The volleyball transition was Chuck's work.

Once he gets settled back in from his recent trip, I'm sure he'll check in with a response.

But thanks for the kind words on our new material nonetheless!

Hi,
To use the Volleyball Transition just place it on a track above two clips you want to transition between. The last couple seconds of the of the clip is a transition, at the beginning there is no transition so you can add one or use it as an intro.
Does that help?
