Sounds like a challenge, can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. The 30sec & 15 sec versions, guess that means edited and not time change. ;) Too bad, the time remapping would have come in handy. And, the music thing will be a challenge, maybe Ron can produce special requests (just kidding).

I'm not sure that I'll find time to enter this as Mrs Twosheds and I are about to move to Sicily for a year so our lives will be a little disrupted for the next six or so weeks as we transport ourselves and our 'stuff' across Europe. But, just a thought, can the muvipix logo be placed somewhere on the muvipix site so that entrants can download it for use?

The Logo contest logos would be really great to use, they are available in the gallery :)

lol. Good thing I read this, because I was going to point out the whole lack of logo for the site.
I wish I were creative enough to write something witty here.

Chuck, what frame size(s) should we be using for this? Is it completely wide open or do you have a desired target size?

320 x 240 for the contest but we would like you to also be able to provide a larger resolution, like 720 x 480 or something that we could resize to whatever we may need. We will probably only want that from the top few so just submit the small file and hang on to the larger one just in case ;)

Thanks Chuck, that's good to know. A number of members have software that could create a native 320 x 240 project. After Effects, for example, has a web video 320x240 preset for compositions. Now we know that users using that type of software need to design for SD and render to web video size.

I would probably prefer widescreen but it doesn't matter, either way is fine :)

Royalty free music questions: Can music from here and shockwave be used? Anything special needs to be done at shockwave? At Shockwave, there are mass market & standard license. Do I need one of these? If music comes from a private author, do you need the permission in hard copy signed? If their web site gives permission, do you still need a written okay?

Good point Cheryl, I have approached a photographer to use one of his photos in the commercial and he has given me written permission in an email. He was happy for me to place a small acknowledgement (photo by ...) in the corner of the clip with the photo.

Another point, does the WMV have to be 320x240???... a widescreen WMV looks pretty small at this resolution with the black bars top and bottom. Can you support small resolution widescreen files?
