muvipix Anniversary Approaching - "New Stuff", etc...

Postby Ron » Thu Jan 24, 2008 2:33 pm

Well, it doesn't seem that long, but February 19, 2008 marks our 1 year anniversary that muvipix.com has been live and online!

To celebrate and thank you for all your support, not only will we be adding additional "New Stuff", but we're going to have some giveaways as well. For starters, on our anniversary (Tuesday, February 19) we'll select a random muvipix member (old or new) and they will receive a free lifetime subscription to muvipix.com - an awesome unknown value!!

Also, during the month of February if you happen to become a NEW muvipix member (anytime between February 1 and 28), you have a chance of getting your first annual subscription for free! We will select a random individual from the month of February and if chosen, we'll simply refund your subscription price for the first year. This drawing and announcement will be held March 1, 2008.

As you know, our site is growing at a substantial rate and February will be no exception :) Here is just a gander of the products that will be added for our Anniversary Celebration -

2 Steve's Tips (in a new, more user-[read]-friendly format):

  • Right-Click Power Features in Premiere Elements
  • Steve's Film School: 10 Cool Camera Moves

Some new tutorials by Chuck, including some long awaited PE4 tutorials:

  • Creating an instant slideshow with Pan and Zoom - Explains how to create an instant slideshow and use the Pan and Zoom Presets, combined with "Paste Attributes", to quickly put together a complete pan and zoom slideshow
  • Adjusting Keyframes - How to adjust the Keyframes when using Presets
  • Keyframing Motion (Pan) from scratch - How to use Keyframing to Pan an image
  • Keyframing Motion Pt. 2 (Zoom) from scratch - How to use Keyframing to Zoom an image
  • How to Keyframe Motion Pt. 3 (Pan and Zoom) from scratch - This combines the first two parts and shows you how to do it all in one step
  • Using the Pan and Zoom Theme - New to Premiere Elements 4 are the Themes; this tutorial teaches you how they work and focuses specifically on the Pan and Zoom Theme
  • Getting Started with After Effects - A simple introduction to the similarities between After Effects 7 and Premiere Elements
  • Create a simple Feathered Matte in Photoshop Elements 6 - Blending images into different layers can be easy, this tutorial shows you how
  • Using the Corner Pin: The Star Wars Title - How to create the Star Wars Title in Premiere Elements 4

Of course, an assortment of SD/HD motion video backgrounds (including country flags), DVD Templates, assorted music and FREE Stuff.

And a sneak peak as to what's to come tutorial-wise in future "New Stuff" additions (some are 2 parts or more)-

  • Animated Text in Premiere Elements 4
  • How to use the Track Matte Effect
  • How to create and use a Playlist in Encore DVD
  • A look at the Effects in Premiere Elements 4
  • Editing a Wedding
  • How to create a great Album Page Turn (using the Chris B. technique)

We hope you're enjoying your memberships. 2008 should be a banner year with more giveaways, video contests (with some really wild prizes you won't believe!)... we hope it's just a nice place to learn, have fun, and hang out for a while.

As always, thanks for your support!!
Regards,
-Ron

This is a great place to learn. I don't reply to a lot of the harder questions because I'm still learning myself and don't want to lead anyone down the wrong path, but I do come here at least 3 times a day and read whats going own. Pick me pick me.

Can't believe it has been a year! Still in shock from all of the new stuff added the last few months  When I joined last year I thought I would just give it one year to see, am very frugal. Well, that was the best investment. The Snap book is very, very good; and seeing the tutorials really helped me. Even if I thought I knew the tutorial subject, I still watched them all because just seeing how things are done was able to learn things or tools in the program that I didn't know about. What's that saying about a pic is worth a 1,000 words...the tutorials are worth a lot!

Congrats Muvipix and wishing you many more years! img0293

Ron, you never cease to amaze me with what you do with the forum.

I'm gone overnight and when I get back home what do I find???? That "New Stuff Coming In February" thingie in the top right corner that dropped down when I roll my mouse over it, then brought me to this thread when I read to the bottom and clicked "read more"

What next????
