We're Finally Online !

[Very First] Post by Ron » 19 Feb 2007 10:24 am
Hello and Welcome,

It's been a long time coming, but this is the first "official" post announcement at our forum and we're live as of today - February 19, 2007. Please come in, look around and tell us what your initial thoughts are of the place.

Whether you're looking for a professionally made DVD Template, a track of Royalty-Free music, a little support or just want to introduce yourself, grab a beverage and stay for a while.

What We Offer

Registration is absolutely free here. When registered, you have instant access to the Gallery (100MB of personal space for your digital content), the Chat Room and of course the forum where you won't find any better support, both for our products and services as well as video editing help.

Visit the "Products" page and peruse the numerous products we offer at an extremely reasonable price. If you need a product, it's as simple as a couple of button clicks and the item is on your desktop. Our individual products can be purchased with PayPal or a Credit Card.

Membership has its privileges !

We also have a Membership option. If you'd rather have unlimited access to ALL of our products, then a muvipix Membership is what you're looking for. This special subscription lasts for one full year from date of purchase and unlike our individual products purchase, subscriptions must be purchased through PayPal as this is the current and best way to manage the secure transactions. We will be adding items to the Members Area constantly and as a member, you have total access to the content 24/7 and can download as much and as often as you'd like.

One special area of our membership that is unprecedented is the Royalty Free music. I'm sure you've heard the ongoing debate over music and its legal use. No worries here. Once you are a muvipix Member, you can download any music track we offer and use them in any project - personal or commercial. To put it simply - the only thing you can't do with the music is claim it as your own. More information can be found here.

Again, please look around and tell us what you think and thanks for dropping by.

We hope you enjoy your visit !

And here's how Chuck and I looked way back then.

In fact, this picture was taken the first time we'd ever met each other in person -- after 6 months of writing our first book together!

Happy Anniversary and Congratulations! As a charter member, it's amazing what's been shared across these portals in five years, and the great thing is that nobody's aged a bit!

To say this site has covered a lot of ground would be an understatement. From learning how to change my SD camcorder to 16x9 to moving into the HD world has been amazing. This has become one of the most well tended web flower gardens that I know of. It has been a treat to see things continue to bloom. Here her to another 50 and beyond.

Five years already, where did the time go. They say time passes quickly when you're having fun. Well, I must have had lots of fun.

I learned about Muvipix from Chuck's web site before it went live and visited on the first day. After a couple of days of visiting, I decided that Muvipix had a lot of potential and was going to be a great place to hang out. I registered on the 21st.

I was right, this is a great place! Happy Fifth Anniversary, Muvipix!

5 Years?? Where has the time gone? Thanks for the special 5 years & Happy Anniversary. I found out about this site from the Adobe forum. Saw Chuck & Steve post over there and I looked down on my desk and I had their book! Karma? Only had Premiere Elements for less than 2 months. I would have joined the first week this site was up, but I didn't know how to create a user name or how to pay to subscribe. Sure learned a lot from this site since.

Don't know for sure how many of them represent answer to questions but, according to the tally at the bottom of the forum, there have been nearly 91,000 posts in the past five years. Is it fair to assume that, say, one-fifth of them are questions answered or problems resolved?

If I dare to guesstimate....think it would be about 99.9%. Some of the best things about Muvipix is the vast knowledge pool and users are willing to share/help.

Also, many times answers to questions not asked can be found.

I have often wondered about something and then just happen to read a post about it.
While lurking here, before I joined, I found many answers to questions about things that I didn't even know existed. I didn't know that I didn't know it. :dontknow:

Simpy amazing. It is great to see how things have grown, but one thing has never changed, and that is the conscious decision to make this a place where everyone feels welcomed.

All the best Muvipix,
-Vernon
