Small Screen Video

Postby cdeemer » Fri Aug 03, 2007 11:33 am

At smallscreenvideo.org we're doing two things: seeing how much we can do with low-end technology (we're using The Flip mini and nothing else!) and utilizing actors normally considered of "retirement" age. That is, we use and tell stories about old folks for the most part. We're having a ball and think we've produced some good moments. We practically have a small production company now, actors, writers. We're having a ball.

My personal favorite is "Scrapple, Grits, Biscuits & Gravy," about ten minutes divided into three parts. It's almost the story of me and my late best friend. Check us out.

If you like acoustic blues, don't miss the Mary Flower video!

Sounds like fun, cd!

BTW, if you put a www in front of your web site address in your post, it becomes a live hyperlink. Like this:

Looking forward to check out the site!

That's a cool idea. I watched part one of the video. You're fortunate that you have access to willing actors for your projects.

Actors over 65 don't get much work in Portland, so it's been easy to find them. I'm using one woman with 20 yrs experience in NYC soap operas. They're glad to have something to do. A real stretch upcoming, I'm doing a short opera shot on various locations instead of a stage (I write libretti anyway) and even found talented, experienced opera singers eager to donate their talents.

That's great. Lately I've resorted to bobbleheads for actors
