I took the time to go through a similar exercise. Your 'bounce in' effect eludes me though. Are you using PE3, or is that a plugin such as a burger transition?

I'm sure I can recreate it using other means, but it sure'd be nice to have the effect on the shelf, ready to go.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wish I had the time.

Postby Maxine370 » Wed Feb 21, 2007 5:57 pm

I wish I had the time to put one together. If I can squeeze out the time I'll do a three-title challenge. I'll try to contribute in other ways by sharing pieces of actual works. Which reminds me I'll put up my map witht he lens flare effect for those who didn't get to see it at Chuck's old site.

All done with one effect in Premiere Elements 3... I'm pretty sure you could dod it in 1 and 2 as well.

The Bounce in effect is done with the Transform effect.
-Set the Skew axis to 90
-Key frame the position so that it moves quickly into the screen and then stops. (The transform effect has a motion property which is handy, because then you can save the the motion in a preset as well.)
-at the point where it stops set Key Frames for the skew property so that it starts to sway back and forth starting out with a larger skew and then gradually getting smaller.

Note: You'll notice when you scrub over the video that the bottom of the text moves as well. I would have preferred the bottom to stay still and just have the top move... if anyone figuers that out let me know.

I'm going to try uploading a preset tonight . I'll put this one up.[/list]

I've uploaded two presets (The bounce in and the Mirror effect)
Let me know if you are able to download them They are anchored to the in point of the clip but you can highlight the key frames and move them.

Chuck,

Love the tutorial and the motion background. If you can do more sports ones. I do alot of sports video for my nieces and nephews. Swimming, volleyball, basketball, hockey, tumbling, thinks like that. I'm always looking for those types of backrounds. And even DVD menus with those type of things would be great. :-D

Postby Maxine370 » Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:17 pm

Jamal,

My 3 Title Challenge is posted. Tell me what you think. I think I ran through it a bit fast but it will have to do.

I can post all the effects if anyone is interested.

Nice combo! Replication and roll. Like it! I'm stuck on how you got the page curl to roll in on itself )both sides... Need to know how you did it! I thought maybe you had two page curls on the title, but that didn't work.

Page curls

Postby Maxine370 » Fri Feb 23, 2007 9:00 am

Very good Jamal.=D> It is two page curl effects. Each has a different angle. They're already saved as presets for me so I'll upload the presets for you later. The effects are pinned to the end but as you know you can always change the keyframes. :thumbleft:

(would post now but they're on my other computer)
