Hi, I'm doing a project for a local college (first paying gig!) It has to be under a minute and a half. their target students usually speak some english, adults to late teens. They do a lot of field trips and I wanted to try and showcase that. Any feedback before I submit this to them would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...........Dave http://muvipix.com/cpg/albums/userpics/10346/CIC_2.wmv

I think it's terrific, Dave! Very well paced, and I love how it goes into warp drive when the music picks up.
I'd recommend you use the more standard sized 320x240 WMV file though when you post the final on the web site. It may not be as big or as clean as the full sized video, but I'm operating on a T1 connection here at work and your file took nearly two minutes to buffer! That's a long time to wait for a video.
Not that it's not worth it. It really is a very nicely made piece!

I agree. Very nicely done, albeit slow to download. I'd pay for it!
Was all this done in PE, or were some of the effects accomplished in other products?

I agree with Steve. That was terrific. What software did you use?
Download time was shorter for me (less than a minute) on broadband (I still would consider that long). If it's going to be on a website, I would try Flash if you want to keep it at that resolution.

Dave- That was really great! Being a drummer, I enjoyed when the drums kicked in, and the pics picked up the pace to match the beat. Where did you get the drum music? Being objective...it looks like a pro made your video. Good job.

Hi, Thank you all so much for the comments! I really appreciate everyone taking the time to download and post your feedback! I did most of this project in A.E. It's a new program for me (end of Nov.) so thanks for the kind words. It will be going on their web site so thanks also for the flash tip. The drum music is "composed" from drum hits 2 -5 sec each, the first time I've attempted that, and easier to do in elements as sound booth doesn't have tracks. I now have a whole new appreciation for the amazing stuff Ron puts together. Thanks again everyone, it's hard to when you watch a project over and over while putting it together, you really do need someone else to give their opinion. You've made me very excited to deliver this to them. ............ Dave

overall, it was riveting. The sound track really propels the clip. The fact that it agrees with the images (timing, etc) makes the entire clip really gel. The only minor thing that I picked up on is with the title, 'have fun learning', the 'g' is a little lost in the girl's dark hair. Since the overall production is so outstanding, however, it can easily be overlooked.

Wow. I really don't know much or anything at all about AE. I didn't know it could do all that. If I do recall AE is a bit expensive so that could be why I don't know much about it. But then again, if you can get good paying jobs for it, it is all good!
