1st Resolution completed!

Postby Kerrie » Wed Jan 09, 2008 9:37 pm

Well, I have one of my resolutions done! I have posted my first slideshow video in the gallery! This is a tribute to my Grandma who passed away last week. She lived to 99 and had a fascinating life! This section is her life out East. She worked in Washington D.C. and had quite a fun time!

I spent almost every waking hour last week scanning, cropping, editing and dropping into PrE! Well worth it to share this at her funeral!

Kerrie,
I am very sorry about your loss. That was a very nice and enjoyable tribute..

My mom passed in April and I threwe together a video of her life, It had mistakes and was not that great but everyone that came to the funeral was impressed. Now my brothers and sisters are sending pictures for me to redo it. I wanted to do something saying she was the daughter of..., wife of.. mother of.. etc.

I really like what you did.
Donna
Go out and make it a great day. The choice is yours!

Kerry, my condolences on your loss.

I enjoyed your tribute to your grandmother. I actually smiled at the beginning, an elegant lady with a well deserved crown. And what was that on her sweater? A mouse? She must have been a joy to be around.

Condolences on your loss. It seems that your Grandmother had a long run. Good editing. Scanning and getting good resolution, color saturation, etc. is not an easy task. I bought a top of the line scanner this summer for the same thing. Now to get on with it. Thanks for posting.

Regards,
-Vernon

Thank you everyone for the kind condolences. My Grandma lived not only a long life but a life of quality. I am still amazed to think what she saw in her lifetime....she was even at one of the inaugurations of FDR! She was actually playing bingo at the nursing home till a few weeks before her death! ;) Cinde the picture with the crown on her head was at her 99th Birthday! We were fortunate enough to celebrate it with her.

Thank you for the comments regarding my work......I have been a little nervous to post....there is just so much talent at this site! I know I couldn't have been able to put this tribute together without everyone's help here! Thanks!! Everyday I learn something new at Muvipix! Kerrie :-D

Just saw this and agree with the others. Excellent! Liked the flow of the tribute and the font. The sayings were a nice touch. So very sorry for your loss.

That was a great tribute! The music couldn't have been any better, and fit perfectly. I loved the pacing also. The motion settings were nice...Slow and not over done. The fact that she lived for 99 years is something to celebrate, and you've done that nicely with your slide show.
