Here's a little something I slapped together this afternoon using only stills and no transitions except the fade in/out for each pix. I've wanted to do an exercise in pan and zoom and the ice storm we just had gave me some photo ops with everything covered in ice. Enjoy.

edit Ron: wrong link that was used - 'http://muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=10540&pos=0' this is the correct link - 'http://muvipix.com/cpg/albums/userpics/10540/Aftermath.wmv'

Larry the player doesn't seem to be working for me. I just get white speckles flashing.
Edit: I think it was on my end. I rebooted computer and everything is fine now.
The ice is so beautiful but yet so very damaging.
Thanks Richard

Very nice. The pans and fades were all that needed and the music was great. I haven't seen an ice storm since I was a little girl. We had a few on Long Island in the 70's. How often do you get them. I think they are quite beautiful even if they make things more difficult and cold.
The only thing I would suggest is to get close on a branch to show the detail of the ice.
Happy Editing,
Beth

Your movements are so smooth, I felt like I was watching video instead of stills, Larry!
But, man, I sure don't envy you that ice!

Thanks for fixing the link Ron, don't know what I did to it. Thanks to maxine370 and Steve. We get about 1 or 2 storms a year here like this, but Steve should be used to it being so close to the "FROZEN TUNDRA"... Go Packers!

I liked that you changed up the motion setting for your photos. Some pan, some zoom. Thanks for sharing.

Larry, Greatly enjoyed the clip. The pans and zooms were really top notch. I did notice a couple of incidences where the end of the zoom and hold seemed a little abrupt. I guess I was expecting some deceleration as you brake to a hold. A very minor nit in an otherwise great show. Also loved the music. It seemed majestic and fit the piece.
Regards, -Vernon

The music fit well and some very good pics. We just missed this weeks ice storm. Last December we were hit hard and out of power for 1 week.

That was nice. Good music choice and photos. We may get some ice tomorrow morning here. It's very pretty but dangerous.

Thanks again everybody! VernonRobinson: I caught that also and I just can't seem to get rid of that abrupt stop in two of the pix. I even re-keyframed them without success.

Larry, No problem. What music did you use if you don't mind me asking? Thanks, -Vernon

The selection I used was from a Smartsound selection/variation called "American Sunrise". I bought an album when they had them on sale (which ain't often), otherwise the albums are a bit pricey. On the plus side, they are royalty free and are licensed for anything you make.
