Light Saber Effect

Postby bry_man » Mon May 22, 2017 11:56 am

you would not believe how long this took.... but seeing my sons huge smile once i had completed it made it all worth while
the effect was done in HItfilm, but the green screen stuff and sounds and adding the intro and outro were done on PE as usual, i just cant get my head round something on hitfilm....

I did something similar a few years ago using Rotoscoping, not easy and very time consuming. I don't even think rotoscoping can be done anymore as it requires export of video into a filmstrip file. Each image is then processed in Photoshop and export back to video.

Anyway, really cool job with the light saber and background !!
