Revamped Miami Flyover

Postby Chuck Engels » Mon Sep 19, 2016 5:18 pm

I made a few changes to the transitions in the Miami Flyover video. This effect became very popular a few years ago.

I've been wanting to make these changes for a long time, finally got around to it :)

1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Chuck that was pretty cool. The setting on the camera almost made the window look like it was round. Being able to record video out of the plane window is always a blast. .....except one time at band camp..... lol

Actually the window on the plane was really scratched and it was not worth it to record... I felt like I really missed that one.

Chuck, I've been wanting to try that transition, too. You did a really good job. And the sound effect is just right. I just saw that transition used again in a TV show, I think it was Limitless.

I've seen that kind of transition used a lot in the last couple of years and always wanted to try it. Had to set the Time Stretch to +2500 and found the sound effect online for free WHOOSH :)

That's great, Chuck! A fun creation, and I liked the sound effects also. I haven't flown very much, but takeoff is my favorite part. I love the acceleration of the big jets. It's also rather cool when you make the taxi turn and are lined up ready to go. All that concrete ahead of you and you're the only one out there. Or at least you hope so! :-D

Very cool Chuck! I love the speed ramp transition. I used it on my last Mexico video. I think Matty Brown was the first that used it.
