Nice video Paz. Brings back some great memories. As a kid my parents used to enjoy bird watching and had a book by Golden. They would mark all the birds that they saw. This was back in the day of binoculars only so it is nice to see the birds up close and in video.

Wow, what colorful birds you have there.

I looked up Indigo Bunting (Passerina cyanea) on "iBird for Windows 8" and listened to the sounds. I was able to pick out the bunting's call from the other birds' calls in your video. Phonetics: "sweet- sweet, sweeter- sweeter, here-here."

Okay, this little thread has cost me $9.99, but what a nice guide to birds. Over 800 species of North America.

Great book cover, Sidd! Is that your copy of your parent's book? If so, what a wonderful treasure of memories. Rumor has it that the Painted Bunting has been spotted on the road I live on, even though they are supposed to be western USA birds. I keep a lookout - if I ever see one here, I'll have all three of your book cover beauties!

Thanks, Mom. The color is incredible. Each bird seems to be slightly different in pattern.

$9.99????? I am HONORED! Wow. To think someone enjoyed one of my videos enough to go a step farther is a fabulous feeling. Please tell me more about the guide. I assume it is an audio guide. Does the "iBird" title mean it is Mac only?

thanks all,

Paz

Paz,

iBird is available for many types of devices. The version I bought came from Microsoft's Store and is for Windows 8.1 and up. The guide is very comprehensive and has audio, and beautiful photos and illustrations.

If you go to http://ibird.com you will see more information about availability for iPad and other Apple devices and Android devices.

I see that there is a Pro version. I guess I will have to read more about that.

Tweet, tweet,
