Mexico Slices 4 - Playa del Carmen

Postby momoffduty » Wed Jan 20, 2016 9:33 pm

The beginning is the resort and then Playa del Carmen. I love Playa del Carmen! I told Mr. Mom to leave his leopard pants at home, but he didn't listen. I made a new friend at the end :-8

Mr Mom didn't look too keen on your new friend! :-D I also spotted the UK being represented at 2.08 (Liverpool). Was it a club? Bar?

The colors were beautiful! Like the breakfast cereal aisle at the grocery store. Kind of overwhelming to the eye sometimes. :)
That guy really did look like Johnny Depp. Thoroughly enjoyed this one, Cheryl!

Liverpool is a high end department store. As to Mr. Mom & the pirate, I first shot video of the two and then wanted video of only the pirate. Of course Mr. Mom had to walk into the shot.

Breakfast cerial aisle. :CS: The Sony has vivid colors and I shot in their Standard mode. I wonder what the Vivid mode looks like. I did add a hair of contrast to crush the blacks to give depth. The pirate was very convincing as a Johnny Depp actor. He saw me later that night and yelled that I was his lady. Probably because I gave a nice tip for his performance. I did notice that some people were put off with his performance. It may be due to his over the top acting and those wide eyes.

Thanks Bob & Chuck :-D I've been trying to focus on framing and the light more. The Sony does not zoom in video mode and that takes a little to remember when shooting. Sometimes I think I got video when I actually was taking photos and vice versa. Must be those older age grey cells multiplying?

I watched the video first and was thinking how much I like the way you framed a lot of your shots then read your comments. :-5

Nice piece of work. Mr Mom was again a show stopper. I think he needs his own epic...

Thanks Sidd! I may make a tribute video to Mr. Mom for his birthday. He did hit the big 65 last year, but I was too busy editing the wedding video. The one clip of him under the palapa it is pouring rain. You really can't see it on the compressed version. I do have some funny out takes of him.
