My second Mexico video set to a Latin beat. I tried to find Latin trip-hop, but only one was in the running. Found this music on Jamendo, a dance-house-electronic piece. We had a lot of mushy, overcast days and a few time-lapses didn't make the cut. There are 3 in this video. Filmed on a GoPro, cell phones, and a little video from the D70. There may be a clip from the previous trip that was shot on the 650D.
I am disappointed in the GoPro Black 3+ low light. Noisy video. Is the 4 better in low light?

I liked the picture of the lemur but what was that on its shoulder? In the timelapse sequence the 'stop shots' in time with the music was a good idea (now stolen!)

Another piece of fine cinema Mom. I am a fan of your trip hop. I especially liked the sand falling in reverse and the time lapses. Music was a great choice and I liked how the blast of flame was timed to the music. I also started watching and waiting for the foot cam shot and you did not disappoint. Dad's performance is the clincher.... well done

My compliments, Cheryl. One of the most expected moments for Italian children in the 1970s was "Carosello", a short tv broadcast of commercial spots which used to show a city door in front of an Italian style garden in the intro the sequence starting at 1:45 in the video recalls the sequence starting at 1:45, in a magic way (you can see the full video at youtube.com/watch?v=CU5J_UUiU-0 ). I have appreciated a lot your intro too, I used to try to compose dreams when becoming asleep imagining a curtain, perhaps to understand how they worked and what they were made of (of course it was a funny effort). I have liked the round shapes in the curtain of the video fading in circles in the following sequences. I have enjoyed a lot the focus on details too. Great emotion from the exotic animals.

Thanks guys! I'll pass on to Mr Mom your compliments and he has been called a lot of things but not a lemur From a distance I thought the guy had a baby coati. Interesting creature. John, use the stop frame anytime. I borrowed Sidd's slow mo wave. The colors were punched up in post. We had several days of grey overcast skies with flat light. The peacock was on one of those days and the time-lapse pergola. I ditched a few other time-lapses because of the flat light. The light makes a big difference in colors. Francesco, I couldn't follow your links. Poetic description. I remember the curtain flowing on a hot summer day as a child trying to fall asleep. Thanks for bringing back those memories. I searched for music for a month. An hour here and there and almost gave up. The Jamendo site has some nice music, but wish it showed the wave forms for the music. Sound Cloud and Vimeo Music show the wave forms. Maybe it is there on Jamendo and I don't see the option?

Francesco's video: ======================= Mom! I LOVE going on vacation with you!!! Beautiful place, sunny colors, lots of fun and those Mexican dogs sure are strange! Of course the best part is how well you've edited this and yes, the music makes it. It was worth the search. I am disappointed in the GoPro Black 3+ low light. Noisy video. Is the 4 better in low light? I haven't tried low light. Here is an article related to using ProTune for both the Black 3+ and the 4: http://gopro.com/support/articles/advanced-protune-controls-explainedOf course, to edit in ProTune, you would have to have shot in ProTune in the first place. I want to go out soon and experiment some more, this time using ProTune. I shot (photographically speaking) some ducks and they are blown out white that cannot be corrected. I want to see how much difference ProTune makes.

Thanks Patrice for the GoPro specs link. And thanks for fixing Francesco's links. I looked at a comparison night video of the Black 3+ vs the 4 and didn't see much difference other than a warmer color cast. The 4 uses a different battery. Think I will stick with the Black 3+ and experiment with the Protune. I haven't tried it out yet and wondering about the best settings for a typical sunny day. I hope you share your experiments.

I too thank Patrice, I didn't want to post a video immediately after Cheryl's, too close to it, so I have just pasted the link.

Great video Mom! I presume the panning within the time lapses was done in post? I liked the stop motion within the time-lapse to the beat of the music, that is a great idea. The night shot of the carousel was very sharp, was that taken with the D70?

Thanks Ron! The panning on the timelapses were done in post. With a 720p project there was plenty of room. The top of the building, which was just a small covered walkway, had people in the bottom left corner and plenty of room to crop out. The carousel was on the 650D with the 50 f1.4 lens. That lens is very sharp and good for night shots. The ISO on the 70D is about the same as the 650D. I wished it was better.

Ah, Francesco, I see your point! I wouldn't have meddled if Mom hadn't said she couldn't follow the link.

Patrice,
I am so sorry ...
No, please, you have made the right thing and a favor to me. I didn't want to share a video just below Cheryl's one, but you made a good explication embedding it.
Very very sorry for the misunderstanding.
Thanks again, Patrice !
