2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseRe: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseThe 1 minute was a real challenge. People always make the comparison with adverts - but I suppose they are "easy" in that they usually have only one message to get across.

I think in the other contest thread it was mentioned the end of September. I'm for enjoying and not picking. ![]() aka Cheryl

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseSteve, too early to pic a "winner" (everybody will be the winner, if everyone is happy as I am of this friendly contest I would like to repeat now and then).
Let's make september flow... ![]()
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseI agree that we should wait until the end of the month. I hope more people will submit because it is fascinating to see everyone's corner of the world.
And yes Chris, the church does look a wee bit different... ![]() Desktop: HPE-580T, i7-950 (3.07GHz), 16GB RAM, Win'7 64-bit Home Premium, PSE12/PRE12, Lightroom 5.

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseI won't be able to put in an entry for at least another week, but I wouldn't be opposed to picking a winner now, as I know my entry won't win.
Even if I don't get it in on time for the "judging," I'll still upload something to the gallery when I can. I appreciate all of the video sharing and have learned something from each of the videos uploaded.
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseOkay then -- the showcase continues!!

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseGame on !
I like it that this contest has provoked a lot of thought and interest. I would suggest that the winner get to propose the theme of the next 1 minute contest. Maybe have that one to be completed by Thanksgiving. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseLife is a bit hectic for me at the moment but I have a planned submission, just need the time to take the shots and edit it together.
The end of September suits me if we can stick to that but things are tending to conspire against me presently so I may be doomed to miss the cut-off date. ![]() AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcasePeru, I would like to learn from you in this contest, I agree with Steve: game on

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseRon you did a nice job on your video. I liked it especially your narration that tied everything together. Good job.

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseAfter some camera problems (viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13344), I was finally able to shoot enough video to put together a project.
I noticed that most of you upload to Vimeo or YouTube, but I don't, so I will be uploading to the Gallery here. It's been a while since I've done that. Which is the best format to export as: WMV, MOV or FLV? Any other suggestions ( bit rate, file size, etc.?)?
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseHow about an MP4? If you're outputting from Premiere Elements, for instance, you can choose Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the YouTube SD Widescreen preset.

Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseI'm exporting from Adobe Media Encoder using Premiere Pro CS5.5. I can do MP4 tonight when I get home and get on my editing machine.
Re: 2014-08 Muvipix 1 minute video showcaseI know we are anxiously awaiting Peru's opus, but I was wondering if there were any additional entries to look forward to for this contest?
