The 1 minute was a real challenge. People always make the comparison with adverts - but I suppose they are "easy" in that they usually have only one message to get across.

Anyhow - nice work Ron - I used to work in Salisbury and remember the church looking a little different ;)

Are there any more upcoming submissions? Should we pick a winner or just enjoy the showcase?

I think in the other contest thread it was mentioned the end of September. I'm for enjoying and not picking. :)

Steve, too early to pic a "winner" (everybody will be the winner, if everyone is happy as I am of this friendly contest I would like to repeat now and then).
Let's make september flow...

I agree that we should wait until the end of the month. I hope more people will submit because it is fascinating to see everyone's corner of the world.

And yes Chris, the church does look a wee bit different... :-D

I won't be able to put in an entry for at least another week, but I wouldn't be opposed to picking a winner now, as I know my entry won't win.
Even if I don't get it in on time for the "judging," I'll still upload something to the gallery when I can. I appreciate all of the video sharing and have learned something from each of the videos uploaded.

Game on !

I like it that this contest has provoked a lot of thought and interest. I would suggest that the winner get to propose the theme of the next 1 minute contest. Maybe have that one to be completed by Thanksgiving.

Life is a bit hectic for me at the moment but I have a planned submission, just need the time to take the shots and edit it together.

The end of September suits me if we can stick to that but things are tending to conspire against me presently so I may be doomed to miss the cut-off date. :(

Peru, I would like to learn from you in this contest, I agree with Steve: game on :-) !
Great idea, Sidd, to delegate the winner to choose the theme of next context!

Ron you did a nice job on your video. I liked it especially your narration that tied everything together. Good job.

After some camera problems (viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13344), I was finally able to shoot enough video to put together a project.

I noticed that most of you upload to Vimeo or YouTube, but I don't, so I will be uploading to the Gallery here. It's been a while since I've done that. Which is the best format to export as: WMV, MOV or FLV? Any other suggestions ( bit rate, file size, etc.?)?

How about an MP4? If you're outputting from Premiere Elements, for instance, you can choose Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the YouTube SD Widescreen preset.

I'm exporting from Adobe Media Encoder using Premiere Pro CS5.5. I can do MP4 tonight when I get home and get on my editing machine.

I know we are anxiously awaiting Peru's opus, but I was wondering if there were any additional entries to look forward to for this contest?
