A Boomer Sooner should enjoy this story. In the 80s, I hung out with a Sooner fanatic. I'd bought one of the first laptops from Radio Shack and had learned how to program music into it. One afternoon I took it to the bar where we hung out and just before I excused myself to the rest room, I punched the button that made the laptop play the Sooner fight song after a short delay. When I returned, my friend was white: he tried to convince me that my laptop, all on its own, played the Oklahoma fight song! Naturally I regarded him as nuts and since he was older than I, suggested early senility etc etc ... anyway, I kept this going until I worried that he was going to commit himself at the hospital down the way, so I 'fessed up. Took him a while to forgive me.

Thanks, Chuck. I, uh, 'borrowed' it from the OU home page.

And, by the way Charles(?), 'Sooner' and 'fanatic' are generally considered to be synonymous around here... :)
