Am I the only one who used to collect the trading cards with CB terms? *blush*

I had a CB in my car and one in my kitchen, then I set up a base station in my basement with a huge 4 element beam antenna on the flat side with a rotor.
Talked skip until dawn many nights, mostly on side band.
I could talk to South Africa on that thing at certain times of the night, the 100w kicker sure did help :-$

And, of course, I had one in my Trans Am so that I could talk to Chuck and help him dodge the smokies as he drove his truckload of Coor's from Texas to Georgia.

Thanks again Bandit :)

We're east bound and down, keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down, catch you on the flip side :)

Even at 62 (almost) I can still be so naive!

And here I thought I was just making a simple post in the TEST area, not assuming or understanding that all the little kids would come out of the forest and make a mess on my thread!

And to make matters worse, all y'all CB junkies were probably the ones who bought ham radio kilowatt amplifiers and "modified" them for 11 meter CB. FCC, what FCC?

I bought that 100w AM / 300w SB kicker from a company in Mississippi already set up for the 11 meter band.
Legal to buy, but not legal to use on that band. I am sure they made a lot of sales to CBers.
I tried to find them a few years later to order a bigger one, they had been closed down.

Anyway, we are having some extra fun today in the test area
