music and sound effects

Postby bobpeg71 » Tue Dec 24, 2013 2:56 pm

I am new to the forum. I bought the 2 month premier of Muvipix. I thought this also included SmartSound. I am looking now specifically for the sound of a 'growling bear'. But later will want other animal sounds, and other sound effects. I do not know how to to search Muvipix correctly I guess. When I type in bear, I only get the image of the stuffed animal. Also, I thought that SmartSound would include old music for free, such as classical music pieces, Bach, Mozart et al. e.g., but do not find them either. So how can I find these, or do I have to go to another site and purchase? Thank you.Merry christmas....

Welcome to Muvipix and a Merry Christmas to you, too. :c2:

I haven't tried any of these sites, but maybe you can find something here:
https://www.google.com/search?q=free+an ... 2&ie=UTF-8

The first site yields this:
http://soundbible.com/suggest.php?q=bear+growl&x=7&y=24

Try here for classical:

I don't think SmartSound is available from Muvipix. SmartSound used to come bundled in Premiere Elements, but version 12 stopped doing that and instead is using Adobe's "Score" program.

If you already have SmartSound and want it to use other files, you will need to browse for them within SmartSound and you will likely have to pay for them.

But if you just want a growling bear sound, you don't need SmartSound to use that. Just find a file online and save it to your PC, import the file into your editing program and drop it into an audio track in the timeline.

Sorry if this is too remedial, maybe I don't understand what you are wanting to do?

And thanks for the link Dave, that is a helpful site and the first "bear" audio clip sounds pretty menacing!
