Blue Ray question

Postby flair4040 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:45 am

Again, please forgive my ignorance, but I am new to this. If I have a camcorder that shoots in high def and I then burn the footage to blue ray disk, will I be able to view the footage in high def if I attach a projector to a blue ray device and use the projector to view the project on a white screen?

My question really centers around do I lose the blue ray abililty due to using the projector?

My guess would be that it might depend on the native output resolution that your projector is capable of handling(?).
AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.

I would assume that if you have a projector that has HDMI input and the appropriate resolution as Steve says that it should work. Here is an HD projector from Newegg (Mitsubishi brand) that should do what you want, but not cheap.

But if the projector is a "standard" standard resolution projector that can be used for office presentations and DVD playing, probably not.

That was what I was afraid of.
