Cineform Neo Scene makes AVCHD & HDV easy to editWell, I haven't made the leap to HD production yet, but while I was researching HD cameras the other day I came across some sample AVCHD (AVCCAM) clips shot in full 1920x1080 on the new Panasonic HMC-150 and I wanted to test them out. Of course, CS3 didn't know what to do with the .mts files, so I started looking around for a conversion utility. I downloaded the trial of Neo Scene (retail $129) and converted them to .avi's (Mac users can convert to .mov) which CS3 breezed through like Mario Andretti at a go-kart track. So for anyone who is interested in going to a tapeless HD workflow but doesn't want to build a new dual-quad-core PC to handle the AVCHD compression, Neo Scene offers a much more affordable solution. And it converts HDV, too.
