Sony Vegas and Movie Studio supporting AVCHD...

Postby Paul LS » Thu Apr 26, 2007 9:39 am

Sony have had AVCHD camcorders out for quite a while now with no editing programs supporting the format. I see they are to release an update to Vegas 7 and that Vegas Movie Studio 8 will support the format.

Credit Sony. They picked up this very stable program from Sonic Foundry (where it was being sold as Video Factory) and they really make an effort to keep it cutting edge, as far as supporting other file formats. Likewise, they package it with DVD Architect Studio, one of the best DVD authoring values around.

It's too bad it doesn't include some of the higher-end features Premiere Elements has and its timeline functions aren't as tight, or I'd still be using it.
