Panasonic Blu-ray BD-R 25GB Recordable Disks for $10

Postby George Tyndall » Mon Sep 01, 2008 3:46 pm

The price of recordable 25 GB Blu-ray disks appears to be coming down. img0278

I bought a few today at that price today at Fry's here in Los Angeles. (I'm still waiting for the LightScribe version of BD-Rs to appear.)

Actually, there is an even lower price at Fry's: a 15-pack of Memorex, which was originally priced at $139, is now down to $60 ($4 each). I wonder why?

In another forum, a number of members described bad experiences with Memorex SD recordable DVDs, so I passed on the Memorex BD-Rs despite the very low price of $4 each. [-X

I'm interested to know if anyone has had good experiences with the cheaper Memorex BD-Rs.

I don't know about BluRays, but Memorex DVDs are notorious for their inconsistent quality.

And, with playable DVDs and BluRays, the one thing you don't want to have to deal with is unpredictable disks!

I have burned 3 Blu-Ray discs and getting ready to burn number 4, they are all TDK and have worked fine.
I personally don't trust Memorex discs at all [-X

I have always bought Verbatim DVD-R discs and have never had any cause to complain, so I bought Verbatim BR discs - no problems of any kind to date but then I have only burned two! :-8
