Burn DVD to play in HDDVD player?

I still have one of those out dated HDDVD players laying around. Anywhoo, I am not going to spend money on a burner for an abandoned technology, but I was wondering if I could burn a few minutes of HD Video to a standard DVD in the file structure that the HDDVD player will recognize. Are there any tutorials for this? Thanks

Yes, you can get approximately 20 minutes on a single layer DVD including a menu and chapters. Easiest way is to use either ULEAD Video Studio 11+ or ULEAD DVD Moviefactory 6 or NERO 7/8. These programs allow burning of HDV footage to a standard DVD. They also allow a menu to be used with chapters and also have smart rendering so any untouched video is not rendered on burning thus maintaining quality.

Now it also seems like I could burn a WMV file and play it on my 360 .. .. That may be a free alternative.
