One of the companies I edit for has had their first request for a HDV wedding on Blu-Ray.
That is a really good sign for the future. They had just decided to go back to only recording in SD unless HDV is specifically requested.
For the past 6 months or more they had been recording everything in HDV and down converting, just in case the couple would like the wedding in HD in the future.
