PAL and NTSC

I have burned my discs at 576, so why are they playing in our TV here? Are many of them now made to play both NTSC and PAL?

And my next question - in 13 there was a setting for PAL and NTSC. I haven't found that here. If we are making a DVD for the European market, do we just burn and SD disc at 576 and that is what they need?

I think you are confusing the pixel dimensions of PAL and NTSC with the DVD Region. Discs burned with Premiere Elements are region free and will play anywhere.

I'm now even more confused. I know that the technology to read DVDs is different in Europe than North America. What do we need to do to make a disc that will play in Europe? Premier Elements had a setting for PAL but I can't find one in 15.

I don't recall anyone here ever having a problem with people in the UK playing NTSC discs.

European DVD players have always played both both NTSC and PAL DVDs.

I believe that, nowadays, this is also true for newer model DVD players available in the USA.
