DVD menu

Postby skip » Fri Jan 06, 2017 9:06 am

Just loaded PREL 15 and will order Steve's book today to avoid more questions in the future. But for now, I need help on DVD menus. I put together a test video to try out the program. Everything went fine until I tried to add a DVD menu to the project. The DVD videos and stills in my project were shot with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The PREL template I added imported with a 4:3 aspect ratio. When I changed the menu picture to one of my own (16:9) aspect ratio, it also imported as a 4:3 picture. How do I get a DVD menu with a 16:9 aspect ratio? Thanks in advance for your help. You guys always come through.

I'm assuming you're working on a widescreen project.

If so, when you add a photo to your Movie Menu, does it seem to look squished taller than wide?

Often the preview you see in the Movie Menu Adjustments workspace isn't a good representation of what your final disc will look like. Click the Preview button. Does the preview look widescreen?

If your project is widescreen, your menu will come out widescreen too -- even if it doesn't look like it in the Adjustments area.

Yeah, you're right. I went back and looked at a few things, and suffice it to say, the problem appears to be pilot error. All fine now....thanks
