Pelican Case

Postby happy2bapappy » Sun Jul 15, 2007 2:13 pm

This may be super obvious to most, but to some who are unaware, I'd like to draw attention to Pelican Cases.

Pelican Cases are a hard shell, waterproof, high impact resistant case available in all kinds of shapes and sizes. One cuts out a solid foam insert to suit whatever it's intended purpose is to be.

I've been using pelican cases for all of my outdoor pursuits for many years and have had it fall off cliffs, drop out of the canoe, and had it generally abused in all sorts of ways. I highly recommend them.

Thanks for this post John. I moved it to Tools because I think it will get noticed here longer than it would in the Water Cooler.

I have used Gator cases for years but the Pelican cases seem like they may be even more rugged. Gonna have to check them out for sure :)

thanks for moving it Chuck.

I forgot to mention, that while one can get subtle colors such as black or green, it was because of the fact that I chose mine to be bright orange that I was able to retrieve my case roughly 5 mins later where it got snagged on some sweepers after floating downstream.

That was a long 5 mins. :pale:

just for fun I checked out the site myself. If you only go to check out one thing, check out the torture test video. If that won't convince you, nothing will.
